ADULT LEARN-TO-ROW Our Learn-to-Row program runs from June to the end of July each season. Each eight-week program includes three weekly classes. Students are encouraged to attend at least two classes per week. The program progresses from dry-land education to rowing in a large barge and then to smaller boats. At the end of the season, students will be exposed to both sweep and sculling rowing activities. After completing the program, participants are encouraged to continue rowing at open rowing sessions until the season ends. For information on our current program, CLICK HERE. You will need Adobe Reader to see this flyer. 2008 LEARN-TO-ROW SESSION This year, Learn-to-Row starts on Saturday June 7th and runs to July 26th. The program costs $135 per person. When the eight-week class is completed, matriculated rowers may become members of the Landing Rowing Club for the remainder of the season for $50, entitling them to the benefits of full membership. Classes are: Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thursday: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 2008 INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED COACHING Intermediate/Advanced coached camp is available only to members in good standing and for a coaching fee in addition to the club membership fee. This year, the program will extend from June 9th to August 2nd. You can sign up for single weeks or for the entire eight-week session. There will be up to 11 classes per week, with Scott Travis coaching 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. rows Monday through Friday, and Scott Menoch coaching weekday evenings from The fee schedule is: $250 for all eight weeks $45 for one week camp $10 for one class drop in session OPEN ROWING This year, open rowing will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. During open rowing, there will always be an experienced club member to help take boats in and out of the boathouse, and to help novice rowers with any questions. Open rowing is free to all members in good standing. GUEST ROWING We welcome out-of-town rowers to join us for a guest row. For details, see the "Guest Rowers" section of our Rowing Manual.
